Spark plug renewal

  1. Before cranking the engine, ground all spark plug
  2. Before removing the spark plug, use compressed air to blow away any dirt accumulated in the spark plug well, to prevent it from falling into the cham- ber.

  4. Brake fluid renewal
  5. IF THE IGNITION SYSTEM FAILS TO OPERATE. (NO SPARK OR INTERMITTENT SPARK)
  6. Measure the spark plug electrode gap with a feeler gauge
  7. Renewal

for at least two minutes, and then switch it off.

If the brake pedal is depressed now, it should

be possible to detect a hiss from the servo as

the pedal is depressed. After about four or

five applications, no further hissing should be

heard, and the pedal should feel considerably

firmer.


  Non-VVT-i models -
  every 30 000 km or 2 years
  VVT-i models -
