4. a detached house -a house that is not joined to another house , single house.

5. a block of flats BrE / an apartment building AmE - a house of many flats (dwelling), block.

6. a cottage -a small house in the country

7. a ranch house -a ranch with a split entry way. there are usually 3 bedrooms, 1 shared

(in the countryside)
